Jason Roe
Physical Therapist
Jason joined Orthopedic & Spine Therapy in 2010. From the young age of 13, Jason has always had a fascination with the "human entity," and has been intrigued by "how moldable and changeable it is." He enjoys the fact that physical therapists have the unique opportunity to spend time with patients that they may not receive through other medicinal practices. "Treating the whole individual" is something that Jason feels is very rewarding.
The decision to join OST was an easy one. Jason saw the rare opportunity to "advance his knowledge base and professional career through continuing education, while providing exceptional patient care in an orthopedic outpatient setting." Jason earned his Bachelor¹s Degree in Exercise Science/Physical Education from Utah State in 2005, and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Utah in 2008.
He enjoys treating all types of patients, but "mostly the athletic, orthopedic populations." He also has a special affinity for helping folks who don¹t think that they are athletes realize their true abilities. He describes himself as "just a coach who helps patients realize the potential of their spirit," while noting that his greatest joy is seeing the moment his patients figure out that they truly can help themselves, and that they had the potential all along. According to Jason, the key to being a great physical therapist is ³listening, and striving to know your patients on a personal level within the clinical setting. Winning and maintaining trust is the hallmark of success.
The Phoenix, AZ native has lived all over the country, including stints in southern California, Utah, and more recently in Ladysmith, WI. When not treating patients, he enjoys reading, spending time with his wife and 5 children, hunting, fishing, and being a sports enthusiast.
