If you want to have a healthcare provider that feels like your next-door neighbor, look no further than Kris Desotelle. A Lakewood native, Kris is glad to join Orthopedic & Spine Therapy in their newest clinic location, where she can treat her friends, family, and neighbors. Previously, Kris worked as a PTA for HealthReach Rehab Services, Inc., so she is very familiar with the demographics of the area.

Following her desire to work one-on-one with people, combined with a love for medicine, Kris found herself enrolling and graduating from the NWTC Degree of Applied Science PTA program. Since then, she has kept her skills strong with continued education in the areas of Shoulder Pathologies, Geriatrics, and Myofascial Release-1.  In fact, one of the very reasons Kris joined OST was for their "commitment to help their staff grow professionally," so she is pleased to partner with a company that is like-minded.

One of her favorite aspects of being a PTA is seeing a variety of patients and diagnoses, and meeting the challenge of treating a mixed patient population. Kris feels that "getting to know your patients to help educate them in managing their condition," helps them become independent, and one of her main goals is to help make each patient self-sufficient.

What makes Kris a reliable PTA is the fact that she listens to her patients and considers each part of their lifestyle in her treatment plan, so she can best treat the source of their pain, not just the cause.

When not treating, Kris enjoys spending time with her husband, Lee, and her dog, KolleeAnn. She is very active outside of the clinic, and spends her free time kayaking, river tubing, downhill skiing, walking, and fishing. She also has an affinity for antiquing, and cans and freezes the vegetables from her garden.
