DJ Lahti
Physical Therapist
DJ joined Orthopedic & Spine Therapy in June of 2008. DJ is driven by the joy received from interacting with patients as they discover abilities they once believed were not possible to achieve. His physical therapy influence stemmed from both an interest in sports rehabilitation and a strong family connection - his brother and his sister-in-law are physical therapists. He was drawn towards OST by the prospect of working with highly trained personnel at an outpatient facility as well as having the opportunity to work in the community where he grew up in rural northen Wisconsin.
DJ earned a bachelor's degree in heatlh science from the College of St. Scholastica in 2006. He continued his education with the achievement of a doctorate degree in physical therapy from St. Scholastica in 2008. The vast medical knowledge attained through college, coupled with his communication skills and clinical abilities, has DJ excited to begin his physical therapy work.
The Oulu native enjoys working with people of all ages and backgrounds and he holds a special interest in the athletic population. Like most therapists, DJ has a strong connection to sports. He played four years of college baseball while at St. Scholastica, receiving All-American honors as a sophomore and representing his club as team captain when he was a senior. During his tenure the small Division III school was ranked as high as 5th in the nation.
In his leisure time, DJ takes pleasure in living an active lifestyle with special interests in golf, baseball and the outdoors.
