Joe
Waller
Physical Therapist
Joe became a physical therapist because he liked the idea of helping people heal with manual techniques rather than invasive procedures or drugs.
“I get so much satisfaction from helping people feel better,” Joe explains. “I especially enjoy helping someone who has had chronic problems and hasn’t found relief anywhere else.”
Joe’s quiet style and problem-solving skills help him to connect with his patients. He really believes in the importance of helping people understand what is wrong and what needs to be done in order for healing to occur. “If people understand and believe in what we’re doing here together, they almost always improve,” Joe says.
Joe earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, and received his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 1998 from Carroll College in Waukesha. He gained additional experience working in the Department of Orthopedics at the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison before joining Orthopedic & Spine Therapy.
While Joe is originally from Madison, he and his family now live in Waupaca, and they love the local lifestyle. He enjoys most sports, bowhunting, fishing, andcanoeing. He and his wife have two children.
