Mike Hambel
Physical Therapist
Mike Hambel, Physical Therapist joined OST in 2007. “The track record of the company and individual attention to patients really sparked my interest in OST”.
Like many who have become physical therapists, Mike became interested in the field because of an injury in high school. He realized that physical therapy had a real need with many avenues; it was this variety that led him to the profession. Mike has a Bachelor’s Degree (1999) and a Master’s of Science Degree in Physical Therapy (2001) from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He continues to pursue his interest in manual therapy and McKenzie Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment coursework.
Mike has found that in his physical therapy career that variety is the spice of life and enjoys working with all people across the entire age spectrum. He finds that every relationship he has with a patient is unique and original in its own way. Mike enjoys getting to know his patients to help put them at ease. He adds that the key to being a good physical therapist is “treating the patient as a whole person and keeping an open, humble mind.”
Mike loves spending time with his wife Ellen, children Grace and Aaron, and dog Leo. He enjoys the outdoors, all sports, a good book, and if he can find time to travel.
