Mike
Last
Physical Therapist
Mike Last’s commitment to serving others is evident in all he does for his patients. “I believe we should do what we can to help people – both physically and spiritually,” he explains. Mike feels that the best way he can serve his patients is by being the best therapist possible. “One of the things I really appreciate about working here is that there are lots of opportunities to make yourself better and grow professionally.”
Born and raised in Green Bay, Mike’s first experience with Orthopedic & Spine Therapy was as a patient while a high school athlete at Notre Dame Academy. Mike continued to gain experience as a patient throughout his years playing basketball in college. These positive experiences helped him decide to explore sports medicine as a career. The more he learned, the more interested he became in spinal treatment and physical therapy.
“One of the best things about working with my patients,” Mike reports, “is that by teaching them how to treat themselves through a specifically-designed home exercise program and by teaching them how to prevent injuries, I can actually empower people to lead pain-free lives.”
Mike graduated from Carroll College in 1999 with a degree in Biology. He earned his masters degree in physical therapy from Carroll College in 2000. He enjoys improving his skills through various continuing education courses every year.
Mike and his wife Aimee are proud parents of a son and expecting a second child in May 2008. They reside in the Green Bay area and enjoy volunteering at their church. When he finds a moment, Mike plays league basketball, spends time outdoors, participates in triathlons and various other races, and is an avid reader.
