Kennan Archer
Physical Therapist PT, DPT, CMTPT
Kennan grew up on a small lake in northwest Iowa. He has traveled extensively and has lived in Alaska and Iowa, treating patients in a hospital and private setting before settling in northern Wisconsin. “I became a physical therapist because I get a sense of fulfillment helping patients through the process of restoring function and quality to their daily lives through movement and awareness of their bodies.” Because of Kennan’s extensive experience and love of learning, he has a lot of tools in his toolbox and can approach a patient’s problems in many different ways. “Compassion is key. Patients aren’t cars, and we aren’t mechanics. As a physical therapist, I treat the person. It’s a patient’s own body that does the healing, and my role is to be an educator, coach, and even cheerleader to foster that healing. It’s hard to do well if I don’t genuinely care about the person, and just see my patients as checkboxes on my day’s to-do list.”
Kennan has a passion for aquatic physical therapy. “I am a huge believer in the unique benefits of the water to improve movement. I read once that if there is magic in this world, it is in the water. I resonate with that.” He enjoys getting to know his patients on a personal level and building a lifelong relationship.
Kennan loves spending time with his wife, Alaina, dabbling in graphic design, woodworking, and can be found experimenting and creating with the home brewing process.
